Steve Adams
Partner, Dial Environmental
In 1978, as a high school sophomore, Steve Adams, began his career as a pest management apprentice for Dial Pest Control® Steve spent the next seven years learning the business, focusing on always doing the right thing. In 1985, an opportunity arose to purchase the business.
Steve, ready to take on the business, asked Jerry Smith to partner with him to own, manage and grow the business. Shortly thereafter the housing market began to boom along with their reputation for always doing the right thing.
As the company grew, Steve’s interests gravitated towards providing IPM (Green) pest management solutions. In 1998, Steve installed the company’s first green solution with a termite baiting program, replacing conventional chemical applications. In 2007, Steve introduced inspection dogs and heat treatments for bed bugs. Steve genuinely respects customer’s desire for environmentally friendly services, and takes pride in offering the most advanced green options available, whether it is for mold treatments, pest management or lawn care. Back in 1978, Steve started off doing the right thing for his customers. Today Steve is still doing the right thing, only now he has a fleet of folks working for him, who also just want to do the right thing.
Steve is a Certified Pest Control Operator and has a Wood Destroying Organism certification from New Jersey Pest Management Association.
Born and raised in Cedar Grove, Steve truly is a local owner. Today he continues to live in Cedar Grove with his wife and two children.
“My philosophy…well really, it’s pretty basic. I treat every customer like I would treat my Mother. It gets me through some tough situations. I take good care of my Mother and I will always take good care of my customers. After all, they are just like family.”
